“The Aldor struck me as a particularly welcoming spot in Skegness, seemingly run with genuine care. I noticed its location on a quieter, tree-lined street, a short walk from the busier seafront, which could be a real advantage. From what I gather, guests consistently praise the free, cooked-to-order breakfast; it's a detail that suggests a dedication to personal service.”

Review summary
Based on recent reviews
Powered by AI
Guests consistently praise the Aldor's spotlessly clean and nicely decorated rooms, noting the provision of tea, coffee, milk, and even ironing facilities. The cooked breakfast, included in the price, is a highlight for many, with its ideal preparation. Its prime location allows easy walking access to the Skegness pier and seafront, with many dining options nearby; however, a few guests felt the breakfast ingredients could be of higher quality. Overall, many guests find the Aldor offers great value for money.

Really good Stay Experience

quiet street ample room tasty breakfast
The guesthouse stands a short walk from the beachfront, situated on a quiet street providing sufficient parking. My room was ample, provided all necessary amenities for my three-night visit. I found it very clean, and the breakfast proved delicious with several choices.
I noticed rooms have tower fans but not all. The guesthouse should provide these in every room to ensure all guests stay comfortable during hot weather.
Service

The hosts provided a warm friendly greeting upon my arrival, which helped to settle in immediately. Advice on local amenities was offered. I appreciate the attentiveness.
Location

a satisfactory stay with breakfast issues

lack of cereals cheap sausage
the room was very clean upon my arrival. it met expectations in that regard.
the breakfast was a letdown.. there were no cereals available, and the toast wasn't presented in a toast rack. the full english option included a very cheap sausage, which i found inedible and disappointing. the ingredients generally seemed budget-conscious.

Wonderful Stay

warm welcome large room helpful staff
Caroline and Darren welcomed us warmly. They helped us remember our time near the sea. We stayed in room 8, a large family room on the second floor. This room had extra space and a fridge for the very warm weather. The breakfast filled our plates.
The tower fans were not available in all rooms. I think every room should have one. This would help with temperature regulation during warm periods.
Service
10/10
Darren offered assistance with local attractions. He was always available for a friendly chat. Caroline ensured we had everything we needed for a comfortable and nice visit. They both created a cute atmosphere.
Rooms
9/10
Our room provided a comfortable space. The beds ensured restful sleep. The shower provided a hot stream of water. Toiletries were available for our use, such as shampoo and soap.
